Do I qualify for a home eye test?
You must be eligible for NHS funded eye test and are unable to leave your home to visit an optician unaccompanied. We can do a private eye test at your home, even when you don’t meet NHS criteria
How soon can I get an appointment?
The earliest an appointment can be booked depending on availability is a minimum of 48 hours for NHS sight tests for two people living at the same address. This increases to three weeks if we are seeing more than two people at the same address. For a private sight test this can be even sooner.
How long do I need to wait for an appointment?
This depends on appointment availability and where you live. For up to two people at the same address we have to notify the NHS minimum of 48 hours, and for three or more people at the same address, three weeks are required for NHS notification.
How long does the appointment last?
The sight test takes about half an hour, and if you require glasses then this could take another half an hour or so. Most appointments last for about an hour, but this is a rough estimation.
What are the home eye test costs?
Free NHS sight test who are eligible, and free NHS funded spectacles if you are entitled to NHS optical voucher.
Private sight tests cost £60, this is reduced to £30 if you select specs from the Economy range frame upwards.

We charge £30 for Domiciliary fee supplement to cover for call out charges.
Which payment methods can I pay with?
We accept card, cash and cheques. Our team will have mobile card machines to accept card payments on the day. We would require a minimum of a 50% deposit in order to process the order.
How long will it take for glasses to be delivered?
We aim to deliver your glasses within two week period after your ordering, we will contact you if there are any delays.
